  Elijah Glenn Evans

Our first boy, Elijah, was born 3/9/04 at St. Mary's Hospital in Reno, NV. He weighed in at 7lbs 15oz and was 20 1/2" long. He is home and doing well. I wanted to publish a pic of him on this blog but couldn't figure out how to do it. Can anyone give me any pointers? Thanks.
  Personalities:

Our girls are so different it is funny. Jilian is very sweet and kind and you can tell even at 4 years old that she really studies what she is going to say before she says it concerned that she might embarrass herself. Madeline on the other hand is quite the opposite. She is in her own little world and she says what's on her mind. If she happens to say something that would typically be embarrassing and people laugh at her, all the better.

As an example, Maddie's aunt bought her a gold fish for her birthday. Well a week later the fish was floating at the top of the bowl and Maddie came to me and informed me that her fish was sleeping. So when I investigated and found that the fish was dead I kindly told Maddie that her fish had died and that we would have to have a funeral for him. By the way, she had named the fish "Loose Tooth", that's just Maddie. So we took the fish, said goodbye and flushed it. Jamie feeling badly for Maddie asked her if she would like to go to the store to get a new fish. Maddie replied, "yes, I like flushing 'em"!

Another example was a little more recent as we welcomed Elijah, their new brother, into the world. We were all standing looking at him through the nursery window when Jilian sighed and exclaimed, "I could just hold him for days and days". As I looked down to agree with Jilian I noticed that Maddie was licking the window and the window sill of the nursery window. That in itself should tell the whole story!
